About Fine Country Living Primitives

| Hello and thank you for taking the time to read about my little corner of the world. I am Mary Jo Elliott and have been married to my husband, Russ, for several years. We have two boys, Seth and Samuel, and we live in a small town of about 350 people in Springville, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.

We bought our circa 1827 farmhouse in 2003 and have been carefully restoring her back to the way she was meant to be...a lovely country home in which to raise a family, just as Albert and Eliza Beardsley, the original family did through the early and mid 1800's. I suppose it is our love for each other and the pride that we feel in restoring this home that has led myself and my family to want to recapture the way things used to be....the love of God and family, maintaining higher standards and taking pride in what you do and what you have accomplished, upholding traditions and just enjoy living a more simple way of life.
The logo for our website was created from an actual picture of our home from the 1880's that was given to us by the 101 year old great-granddaughter of Albert and Eliza Beardsley. We are honored to have it be the focal point of our online shoppe and will never forget the effort that was made by the family to be sure that we had this treasured item.
